Arrange every ingredient in the exact order of use before any heat is applied. Slice the bread evenly so each crostino toasts uniformly. Finely brunoise the shallot, chop the mushrooms into a small, regular cut, grate the Parmigiano, soften the butter, measure the cream and mascarpone, and prepare the chives and microgreens for final plating. Clean the fresh truffle only at the last moment with a soft brush or barely damp cloth; never wash it under running water, as it will absorb moisture and lose aroma.
Preheat the oven to 190°C / 375°F. Set out one sauté pan for the mushroom base, one small saucepan for the cream, one tray lined with parchment for the bread, and a warm plate for holding toasted crostini.
